Google Lens is built directly into the main Google App or Google Photos. Open the Google App and tap the camera icon in the search bar to start scanning your surroundings.

Here is exactly where to look based on your device:

  • Inside the Google App: Open the app and look at the search bar at the top or bottom of your screen. Tap the camera/lens icon to open the scanner.
  • Inside Google Photos: Open the Google Photos App, select any photo in your library, and tap the Lens icon at the bottom to analyze the image.
  • On Android: If your phone supports it, you can also press and hold the home button or navigation bar to activate "Circle to Search" or trigger Lens on your current screen

*Note: Google Lens requires a minimum of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
